Coke truck claims it's slice of Christmas pie

The weekend saw the 'iconic' Coke truck parked up by the Christmas tree in Bristol's Harbourside generally being a giant red symbol of the absolute commercialisation of Christmas
Last Saturday and Sunday from 11am-6pm a giant branded truck, star of the 'holidays are coming' Cocacola adverts, parked up in Bristol city centre for a garish display of Christmas marketing. Blasting tacky carols, giving free samples and shouting Coke's web address through a megaphone, the truck was a ghastly reminder of the commercial driving forces behind the holiday season.
The truck is touring the UK and will make 30 stops over five weeks.
Coke has been associating itself with Christmas for decades and is the branding force behind the current red suited incarnation of Santa Claus.
About 35,000 portions of Coke are bought every second worldwide. Behind the jolly red facade is a monopolistic giant with a sack full of profit and a chimney full of brand identity. Apart from that, mainly sugar and water.
