Yesterday morning a banner proclaiming 'Cops Pigs Muderers! 6/12/08' was hung from Newcastle's inner motorway bridge, in remembrance of the Greek uprising two years ago and all those that suffer at the hands of the police.

On the 6th December 2008 Alexis Grigoropoulos was murdered by a policemans gun in the Exarchia area of Athens. Violence against police, property and capitalism immediately erupted across Greece, lasting weeks.

We have not forgotten the actions of the state or of the murdering pigs.

We stand in solidarity with all of those who resist the brutality of the State, and all those who languish in prisons for the 'crime' of resistance.
