At 6pm today, students and staff held a meeting with the Vice chancellor of Bradford University. The meeting lasted nearly two hours. During that time, the chancellor was asked if he would make a public statement regarding his stand on the proposed tuition fee increases that the coalition government is attempting to force the country to accept. The chancellor was reluctant to make a public statement. It was then decided to take over and occupy the management suit across from his office in the main entrance building of the University. The occupation will remain until further notice, not only as a show of sincerity regarding how people feel about tuition fee increases and education cuts, but also as a show of solidarity with all those other Universities who have, or continue to hold an occupation by students surrounding these issues.
