Boots branch occupied in search for missing 86 million quid

The local people of Hebden Bridge, usually a quiet and calm bunch, are so incensed at Boots The Chemists decision to evade a huge amount of tax, that today some of them visited the local branch.
Dongria Kondh glued herself to a display inside the shop, and asked to speak to the regional manager about the "missing"£86million which Boots has avoided paying because of a tax loophole.
She said "Obviously people will have to get their prescriptions here but when they are thinking of buying Christmas presents or other items we're asking them to support the Totally Locally Campaign".
"We have no complaint against the Boots staff, it's just the greedy people at the top". She added "At a time when Educational Maintenance Allowances are being withdrawn, front line services are being squeezed, and the poorest sections of society are bearing the brunt of a crisis they did not cause, Boots the Chemist is stealing £86 million a year from us thanks to a tax loophole. Britain doesn't have a deficit crisis – it has a taxation avoidance crisis, and if we can't trust our leaders to sort the situation out we will have to do it ourselves".
Hopefully this protest will continue throughout December, and anyone concerned about these issues in encourages to get involved. Protest outside Boot's at 9.00 a.m. every Wednesday until Christmas
Please support local shops wherever you are - they do generally pay their fair share.

Boots and tax

That's exactly what most people and companies do, including the people shown protesting in your photos.
Or do these people insist on paying more than is demanded by the strict letter of the law, sending voluntary cheques to 11 Downing St?
No, they don't.
This isn't the first silly boycott of this type. I expect most of those who take them seriously are keen on more tax in general so they can keep their non-jobs in the public sector and/or get cheap university education for their kids so they can still afford a villa in Tuscany and a new Volvo every couple of years.

Boots are also behind schemes to privatise the NHS.
If I want a degree I'd rather not work at one of Berlusconi's & co's bonga, bonga parties with 16yr old girls
