Action East End | 30.11.2010 14:59

Forthcoming film shows from East London community action group Action East End

Action East End is showing a series of films about East London which portray working class life in our neighbourhoods.
First one up is this Sunday December 5th at 4pm at LAR, 62 Fieldgate Street ( nearest tubes Whitechapel and Aldgate East)
It Always Rains on Sunday
A great Ealing Studios film about working class life in Bethnal Green just after World War Two. This film made in 1947 is an unsentimental look at bleak post-war society with its poverty and frustration. A great and under-recognised classic of British cinema.
Followed by discussion and refreshment
£5 waged £2.50 unwaged.
Sunday January 4th Bronco Bullfrog
Sunday February 6th A Kid For Two Farthings

Boring

More boring bullshit coming out of anarchist attempts at community organising. At a time of heightened social conflict and rise in the use of militant action which has been escalating the situation. This begs the question, is this really the time and place to create a 'film club' based about a east end working class that doesn't exist anymore?
Don't waste your time with this and actually get active, aswell as with the times.
