Day X2: London live coverage

@ | 30.11.2010 13:47 | Public sector cuts | Repression | Workers' Movements

Follow the cat and mouse game from London as protesters try to avoid being kettled by a massive police presence. Groups of people were walking, running etc around the main West End and Parliament areas. Cops seem to be kettling small groups.

One large march has made it across town. Now close to The City. Cops tried to block at Aldwych but were pushed aside.

Shows one thing that people seem to grasp: kettles are only good for those who walk into one. Keep moving! It's great to finally see that the mobile chaotic demo is way more effective than any A to B march and rally. It shuts the city down for a bit and the cops can't respond to it very quickly. It's also much more fun, imaginative, combative and life-affirming!
