Oxford Free School #dayx2 activity 30/11/10

oxfordfreeschool | 29.11.2010 16:05 | Education | Public sector cuts | Oxford

Well, when we occupied the Radcliffe Camera library we did our best to get it open for all Oxford residents, not just privileged students. But Oxford University decided it would rather have it open to nobody. Just goes to show that if you want education that's free, accessible and progressive you have to DO IT YOURSELF.

So on the Second Day of Action we'll be having a FREE SCHOOL in Bonn Square. Anyone and everyone can teach - anyone and everyone can learn. No fees, no rules, no entrance criteria. It's a chance to share your talents and obsessions, and pick up new ideas and skills from the people around you. There'll be food, music and new friends.

This is how we think education should be: free, fun, non-hierarchical and open-minded.

If you want to give a workshop (on *anything*) please drop us a line at  radicalcamera@hotmail.co.uk so we can finalise a timetable. There'll probably also be free slots on the day, so you can also just turn up. Everyone is welcome!
