D Notice issued - WikiLeaks

In preparation for the WikiLeaks dump, the British government warning United Kingdom news organizations about the publication of any material which could endanger national security. The Ministry of Defence on Friday issued a so called "D-Notice.

The D notices issued in this case are - DA-Notice 01: Military Operations, Plans & Capabilities & DA-Notice 05: United Kingdom Security & Intelligence Special Services.

The press are not legally obliged to comply with the D Notices, but they usually do.

Daily Mail has story

The DA-Notices are not working on the Daily Mail, which has an article at  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1333213/U-S-warns-Britain-allies-expect-embarrassing-WikiLeaks-expose-days.html which will now be in the Google cache and on people's hard drives should it suddenly disappear.
