Oxford occupation evicted

The occupiers of the Radcliffe Camera have been evicted by police smashing their way in and dragging everyone out.

A large group of cops, some in riot gear, smashed their way in through a barricaded side door and rushed up the stairwell to where people were gathered en masse to resist.

They wanted us to leave individually to be searched/harrassed but we linked arms and tried to stick together as much as possible. They managed to drag people off by sheer force and searched people before releasing them.

However, spirits are high and as far as I am aware there were no arrests. The recovery of our soundsystem was followed by an small impromptu street rave on neighbouring side streets.

This is just the beginning.

REBEL, REVOLT, RESIST!

... that people stood up and fought the cuts. Thank you all involved for leading the way. An inspiration and a call to action for all of us.
