Not surprisingly the Police acted in the interests of four wheeled vehicle's rather than the safety of living things.... or productivity over life... No supprise there... But Manchester student's showed resolve and courage facing off the stupidity of her majesties finest, ahgghm, whilst being calm and reasoned in their responses.

regrouping rather than holding their ground to carry out several road blockades and avoid any mass arrests or being trampled by horses. towards the end of the protest there was a horse charge on a standing road block no injuries occurred. an hour later another group where seen being pened in by police closer to the main buildings of Manchester university, where members of the public where harassed for walking near it or waiting for a bus on the other side of the road, all of which is clearly highly illegal...

Police violence

26.11.2010 12:53

I watched as one policeman (6884 - watch out!) punched a guy who was stood near the kettle, and who refused to 'move on' when asked, preferring to stay and take a picture.

On the whole though, a good day, and the anarchic make-up of the crowd made it very difficult for the police to stamp it out, and very successful insofar as we were able to repeatedly block the road.

Hiya nice pictures, I've only just come across them now. It just so happens aswell that the gentlemen in the fetching yellow shoes being thrown around by one of her majesties finest is meself. I'd quite like it as a facebook profile shot as it makes me look a lot braver than I am in real life so could you send me a link or something so I could do that?
