Around 500 sixth formers and schoolkids took to the streets in Lancaster on the day of action, massing at the Town Hall in Dalton Square and going for a march through town. Placards were spread throughout, and the mood was noisy and good natured. Some Univerity students came into town to show support and facilitate speeches through a loudspeaker, and litter was tidied at the end.
