Today thousands of school, college and uni students in newcastle walked out of lessons and took to the streets to protest the cuts and tuition fee rises.
The march was loud, angry and very lively. At one point hundreds of students along with a soundsystem stormed eldon square shopping centre, a sit in took place and an inpromptu little rave even broke out.
Following the march a university building was occupied and a teach-in on direct action and resistance is currently taking place.
More in depth reports and photos will follow soon.
Today is just the beginning!
