I assume this guy will get prison time, but it is important we all give him support whether or not we agree with throwing fire extinguishers at the cops. Good luck to him! Is their any sort of solidarity or support campaign set up specifically for this incident?
At the 'Justice for Jimmy Mubenga' demo a couple of weeks ago, some soldiers, several stories up in some flats chucked a big, full bottle of drink down at the crowd below. (Jimmy Mubenga's grieving widow and family members were among the marchers). The bottle was plastic but crashed on the ground with a hell of a force, just 2 feet away from people. The cops were there and saw it all and did..... sod all.

The difference is, they weren't dumb enough to do it on national TV.
If the kid thought he was "going to get away with it", then he is obviously a complete idiot.
