No Smash EDO noise demo next week - Solidarity with the Student walkout

Smashy | 20.11.2010 23:55 | Smash EDO | Anti-militarism | Palestine | Public sector cuts | South Coast

Smash EDO are going to take a rare week off next Wednesday and go and support the student walk out...

The government, while attacking ordinary people, have made only perfunctory cuts to the defence budget. Every job in the arms trade is still massively subsidised by the state. The exports made by EDO benefit only the company CEOs. All this at the same time as the government is cutting the education and welfare budgets, hammering people's pensions and and raising the cap on tuition fees.

The arms industry makes its money through destroying the lives of civilians abroad
whilst the budget cuts target the most vulnerable people here.

We support the recent student occupation at Millbank and we hope that people will join the students in taking too the streets on 24th November.

We'll be back at EDO/ITT, 4-6pm, as always, the following Wednesday

See you on the streets...

Why don't you all walk out of University, stroll on down to EDO and smash the place to pieces.
