EDL in Peterborough

The EDL is planning a march in Peterborough on 11th December.

The racist English Defence League have expressed an intention to march through
Peterborough on Saturday 11th December, Peterborough is an exceptionally diverse
city where a large number of different communities live in relative harmony and
Unite has been a contributing factor to this harmony recruiting workers from all
sections of the community to the Union specifically in the Fenland food processing
plants to the east of Peterborough and around Wisbech.

The last thing Peterborough needs is a bunch of pissed up Nazi football hooligans
running riot through the town smashing up the Asian community, the Peterborough
Trades Council is organising a counter demonstration and has a meeting on the 18th
December at 7pm at the PCS offices on Priestgate  http://www.ptuc.org.uk/ (Apologies
in advance for this website, it has an embedded youtube clip which will start
automatically with racist chanting at the beginning of it.......not my fault, we're
asking them to change it to something less offensive) where the counter
demonstration will be discussed.

While I appreciate the EDL are a problem for comrades up and down the country
Cambridge UAF regard the county of Cambridgeshire as our patch and we need help from the trades union movement to defend it from these Nazi pricks. If you could stick
the date in your diaries and start asking your workmates if they're up for attending
as well that would be massively appreciated.

Cry all you like 'None racist EDL member', your march makes no sense. If you're protesting against extremist muslims burning poppies then why come to Peterborough? No poppies were burned here. Peterborough is a great place full of diversity, we've got Italians, Indians, Poles, Lithuanians, Brits, Christians, Atheists, Muslims, Hindu's. Your divisive marches are not welcome.

Well I have got over 30 lads who I know who are going, all born and breed here. So what was that you said about the EDL not being welcome?

There is a buzz going round about it, even a few polish lads on a site I'm working on are up for it.

I am replying to your article because you seem to forget the big things that EDL follow, they have nothing against anyone but the ISLAMIC/Sharia Law. The way that ISLAM treats people and the way that ISLAM is trying to do more harm then good. It's not all of Islam, I lived in Saudi Arabia for a good 6 years, so I think I have more knowledge then you maybe of living in the strictest Islamic country, the ways of rules, I liked living there but I was too young to have a vast look at what it really is like. All I know is I am against anyone who calls our 'troops' aka WAR HEROES, - what the muslim protesters called them 'murderers'. - This sickens me, I have such admiration and respect for anyone who has been in wars and fights for their country, at the end of the day it's the governments/politicians who start it, not the troops. To call them murderers makes me sick. And it isn't about ALL muslims/Islamists, it's about the minority who literally do hate crimes and punishments that in the 21st century would be classed as sick.
For example, an Islamic man, marrying a young girl (under 10) in his family, this is both incest and paedophilia, - if your saying this is right because it's okay in Islam, then it's fucked up.

I also hate how - people can disrespect other religions and islamic people burn flags and crosses etc... yet when it's the other way round, it is mass hatred/violence and even death. Just look at the history of people who speak up about it - the dutch (Netherlands) have had several murdered people, politicians to activists.

I think you need to recheck a definition of NAZI. These EDL guys/girls have Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans Gender/all religions - apart from Islam and anyone else, from Asians to Caucasians.

Really you should respect the troops and stuff, I myself couldn't care about any religion, a quote from Karl Marx 'religion is the opium of the masses' - So true, Evolution is science based and a proven thing, however religion isn't. So anyway, religion is a cause of war and I have done a lot of essays on history and wars, religion is a big reason to all this calamity.
