This is a call for decentralised mass actions against the cuts on Saturday December 4th.
Keep up the momentum from the student protests.
We can't wait for the TUC or the NUS to build on the events of Wednesday 10th November, which invigorated our resistance to the ConDems, and the ideological restructuring of our society. Central planning of protest has been shown to be a curse, with the NUS leader looking out for his career inste...ad of our interests. This protest is decentralised: the only thing that's decided is the date, 4th December: we feel that action is urgently needed, even before the TUC's planned demo in March.
Join your local anti-cuts group (or start one!) and decide autonomously how you will protest, then let everyone know so others can join you (on this event or to nocuts2010@gmail.com).
There are no rules — only the protesters will decide what is acceptable — however, we hope the day will embody the spirit of Non-Violent Direct Action. It can be assumed that any violence against people (including from the police) will be strongly discouraged.
Some plans have already been made by UK Uncut to protest corporate tax relief. http://ukuncut.wordpress.com/
Be Creative, Be Organised, Be Secure and BE EFFECTIVE!
Spread the Word and Good Luck
