CPS speaks out

Protest group a Sham! CPS exposes hypocracy and lies!

These defendants were not legitimate animal welfare protestors but people who were prepared to carry out criminal acts, which tormented and deeply distressed their victims, sometimes over a number of years.

"They threatened and intimidated those who were going about their lawful business because they personally objected to the victims supplying goods and services to Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS).

"Those who have not been subject to such a campaign cannot understand how harrowing it is to be constantly on your guard against threatening letters and emails, vandalism to your home and car and even hoax bomb threats. Or what its like to have your neighbours and employers told, maliciously and repeatedly, that you are a paedophile.

"In common with the seven other animal rights extremists, who were sentenced to a total of 50 years in prison in January 2009, they were members of the discredited organisation SHAC Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty - whose sole aim was to shut down HLS by any means necessary, regardless of the law.

"HLS carries out pharmaceutical product testing which is not only licensed and lawful, but is required by UK and European legislation."

"Our society supports the right to free speech and to campaign peacefully, but where that behaviour is criminal, regardless of the perceived cause, a prosecution will almost certainly follow and, if convicted, a significant prison sentence.

criminal?

27.10.2010 11:56

When Rosa Parks sat down on a bus, she was a criminal.
When Gandi made salt and span yarn, he was a criminal.
Criminals are good people when they challenge bad norms.
One mans criminal is another mans hero.
What is getting a rood letter or the shinny paint on your car scratched compared to a life of the most violent torture.

Come on - lets CENSOR this

27.10.2010 12:14

What is the point of runninmg your own politicised media outlet if you can't censor information you don't like?

Lets hide this shit before people read it and become informed!

Hmmm

Maybe we should just leave this up as a fine example of either trolling or an endearing faith in the police and CPS. Aww bless, someone might actually think that the courts are fair and that the police only arrest the baddies. Must be nice to be so far removed from reality.

You forgot PC Simon Harwood the murdering bastard who finished off Ian Tomlinson on a London street this fucker still walks the street, with blood on his hands, a fine example why people must never trust the police, on IMC or on the streets. Makes the sentences these protesters got look pretty ridiculous doesn't it?

Indymedia isn't for Crown Prosecution Service propaganda

27.10.2010 22:23

Indymedia is for an alternative to the mainstream media.

It shouldn't be for regurgitating press releases from the Crown Prosecution Service, which this appears to be. This is a clear breach of the Indymedia posting guidelines.
