We even hired a Doctorate in this field, and he did a good job explaining that wherever these incinerators were installed the peoples got sick and many died early because of it. The people came to packed houses and when the vote came they people won victory by voting it down and out.
In our disscussions with the expert, we from the university did discuss that chemical burn might be the way to proceed. What that is is taking the toxic poison and instead of firing it and shooting it up the tall chimney to fall in the food chain around the country side, you use a chemical burn which reduces the harmfull poison molecule to its elementary atomic constituents, and it falls harmlessly back to a neutral condition, and can be re-cycled to mother earth.
Nevertheless the common people found a cause worth supporting and celebrated the great victory of ending poison spreading in the web of life by stopping toxic poison burning in incinerators. circa 1995- canada.
