Beyond Retro Protests Spread to Brighton

Beyond Retro | 22.10.2010 18:01 | Animal Liberation | South Coast

Fur trade, death trade!

Animal rights activists today hit the streets of Brighton to protest against Beyond Retro and their sale of real fur.

First of all, we protested outside the Brighton & Hove Council Offices due to their promotions of Beyond Retro and requested they make an ethical choice about supporting the company and the fur trade. Some activists managed to sneak in to speak to the Head of Marketing, however he refused to comment so a noisy protest was held under his office window.

Next activists moved onto the Brighton shop down a side street (42 Vine Street, Brighton BN1 4AG // Tel: 01273 671937), where a demo was held outside. Leaflets were given out to customers, however the police arrested one activist in an attempt to halt the protest.

The campaign against Beyond Retro is growing, with regular protests now starting at the Brighton store.
