Shell Garage Occupied in Bristol!

Bits of Wood | 09.10.2010 14:20 | Climate Chaos | Energy Crisis

In the early hours of this morning, a small group of Bristol activists
occupied the roof of a Shell garage in solidarity with the people of
Rossport, Ireland. The activists would like them to know that “We salute
you in your struggles! You are not alone!”

The activists have taken inspiration from the garage occupation that
happened recently in London. They believe this tactic is valid and would
like to see copy-cat actions flourishing all around the UK over the next
few months. So if you are reading this and know of a Shell garage near
you, paint up some banners, print off some leaflets and take to its roof
as soon as possible! For more information about what’s happening over in
Rossport, watch the documentary ‘Pipe Down’ at www.vimeo.com/8668733

Thanks to all involved for your continuing support and inspiring actions.

It's a two-way process; the local inspires the national/global and the national/global keeps the local going.

Thanks again to all.
