The Commonwealth Games were in crisis last night with fears over security, health and safety putting the event in doubt.
But questioned about the cleanliness issue, Delhi’s organising committee spokesman, Lalit Bhanot, said: “It is not such a big issue that we should be ashamed of. This will not affect the Games. For us it is clean.
