Central London event to mark the anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan with Maya Evans (JNV) and Susan Clarkson - some risk of arrest.
NAMING THE DEAD: 7 OCTOBER 2010
Maya Evans and Susan Clarkson will be holding a remembrance ceremony opposite Downing Street in London on the anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. They will be reading the names of Afghan civilians and British soldiers killed in nine years of war, and calling for British withdrawal.
They would welcome supporters and participants in the name reading, which starts at 12.30pm.
