Differences between Quran and Flag burning.
10.09.2010 19:09
Why wasn't this widely condemned? Its just as offensive. The pastor has shown the hypocrisy of the Islam world. They are prepared to offend others but, when the shoe is on the other foot, its suddenly not on.
If the pastor burns these books, then he is NO WAY responsible for what happens, unlike what this cartoon implies. The only reason its in the news is because everyone is so scared of Islam's retribution in these kind of things. Think of the dutch cartoons. No UK paper dared publish them because the editor's of the paper knew they'd probably have death threats. Says a lot about this kind of people.
how dare you
They're back!

Keep up Latuff! This is your employers' official stance:
"The Iranian foreign minister described plans to torch the Quran as "soft war" schemed by Israel following its failures in the wars against Muslims."
Manouchehr Mottaki said on Thursday that the world would not have witnessed such incidents if previous offensive acts towards Islam received decisive action by Western governments.
The Iranian minister referred to insults to the Muslim holy book of Quran and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by British author Salman Rushdie and Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.
"Considering the failure of policies based on promoting religious conflicts…that was manifested during the presidency of George W. Bush and was publicly declared by him after the September 11 incident… such actions will ignite the reaction of not only the world's Muslims but the followers of other divine religions."
The US officials should carry out their duties to guarantee the basic right of American Muslims and prevent the promotion of such offensive acts, Mottaki said.

Jones' plans have drawn worldwide condemnation.

That Muslims feel they can burn anything they like such as the USA flag. Butas soon as you say you are going to burn a few of their books there is mass condemnation. Main reason is everyone is scared of the butters. The pastor has certainly opened my eyes to the hyprocisy of these Muslim people and our hand wringers

The holy qu'rans are on the ground, placed lower than the globe representing the world of human sin and there is a depiction of a human face.

look what you made them do!

I love the implication in the cartoon (and the media generally) that Jones is directly responsible for the actions of the fundiloons, who obviously have no sense of agency at all. What do they call it when someone in a relationship says "look what you made me do"?
