is blair's party really cancelled

rikki | 08.09.2010 12:09 | Iraq

media reports might just be subterfuge. anyone still up for going?

this party has been planned for some time with a load of very high profile guests.

i know from someone with inside information that they were all postponed once before at fairly short notice.

media reports in just the last few hours all have the same slightly odd quote:
"Guests invited to the event, at the Tate Modern museum in Central London, have been told that it has been postponed, said a spokeswoman for the book's publishers, Random House."

note that this quote doesn't actually say that the party HAS been postponed. only that guests "have been told". not quite the same thing. they might also have been told that this is a security measure and to come along anyway.

no way of knowing for sure other than still turning up methinks.

there's some nice art there anyway!!

if you happen to be coming to see some great art at tea-time,

you might also want to familiarise yourself with where private events are held:

so the scally that just put up the "change of venue" post obviously didn't realise i'm an anti-capitalist, and spelled their name "Rikki" rather than the obligotary "rikki"

mesmells a rat!
