Build the Resistance!

Stop the Con-Dem cuts!
Build the Resistance!
Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay!

5.00-7.00pm
20 October
Downing Street, London

On the day Con-Dem Chancellor George Osborne announces the results of a ‘spending review’ designed to cut £83 billion from public services, the Coalition of Resistance is calling a mass protest in Downing Street.

The Con-Dem government of millionaires, supported by their media echo-chambers, says there is no alternative to cuts in jobs and welfare. The crisis of the bankers can be solved only at the expense of working people.

That lie needs to be challenged head-on when Osborne makes his statement. The rich and their system caused the crisis. They can be made to pay. That is the argument that needs to be heard on 20 October.

COR therefore calls on all anti-cuts activists to join the protest on 20 October, and invites all anti-cuts campaigns, national and local, to work with us in building it.

More information will be available soon.

Petite Bourgeoisie

In the 13 years of New Labour The left from The SWP and onwards was telling The Working Class vote Labour with no illusions, and the silence from some Anarchist was almost defining. Now we have a CON-DEM government, the hypocrisy of The Petite Bourgeoisie has brought them out in protest saying stop the cuts, it is only when there jobs are at risk we see them on the streets, to be frank SOME Anarchist will not protest to defend the jobs of The Police, Dole Workers, Middle Management and so it goes on, we need to make The Middle Class History not defend there privileges..

Dear Ann,

Lovely rant. However, for those who would like a serious insight into the strategy and tactics adopted by some groups on the left this link might prove useful.

Totally agree Ann. Looking around some of the single issue campaigns it looks like Labour and friends trying to rebuild its power base / hegemony though the usual fetishised issues handled by the left as unevenly, ignorantly and as biggoted as by the right. Fucking opportunist bourgious scum.

long term unemployed - labour are shit
