The true spirit of Anarchy

Me | 16.08.2010 12:29

We couldn’t give toss about the British Film Council for starters. All so remember, this campaign against cuts will defend six-figure salaries for doctors, head teachers, top coppers, the privatising klepto-bureaucrat class and all the other tossers directly responsible for dominating our lives.

Presumably once we’ve successfully “defended” these tossers they’re get on with the job of fucking up our lifes again?

Defending services and the money that go direct to the working class makes some sense. a wholesale campaign to defend the state is bollocks and just sows the seeds of our continuing oppression.

The true spirit of Anarchy has lost ground to people who are actually just lefties in libertarian clothing. We was wrong to think that the old-school Anarchists could drop their sectarianism and work to promote the beautiful idea. It's time for something completely new.

You spelled Birmingham wrong.

Yeah, I also agree with the first poster. All this stuff about Anarchism is really boring. They should stop smothering IM with their politics.

I read IM all the time and, like many others, couldn't give a fishes left tit about Anarchism. When's the real politics going to start?

The news-wire is full of stuff about the Essex Drama Luvs and Anarchism yet there is so much else going on yet this is only a fraction of a percent of what is actually happening out there now.

IM needs a boost.

(p.s don't say I should go out and DIY, I'm disabled and can't)

This meant to be clever? Who the fuck are you to decide what the 'true spirit of Anarchy' is? The bloc has fuck-all to do with defending the state and everything to do with helping to embolden ourselves as a class to fight back against the attacks of the ruling elite and ultimately bring their system of exploitation crashing down.

IM was started by Anarchists/Anti-Capitalists.

Me

IM was not started by anarchists.

IM was started buy anti-globalists and its original motivation came from the Zapatists'a of Mexico. Anarchism has always been a small part of it.

How do I know that? Because I was one of those anti-globalists and I have been to Mexico.

Over the course of time, IM has been many things to many people. I am a long time reader of IM but I am not an anarchist. I find the current narrative that the anarchists are presenting especially over edl to be futile and pointless and a distraction.

The current narrative is politically regressive and uninspiring.

Above all, I want to know about autonomy in the modern sense, not anarchism in the historic sense.

Dear Charles

All that 'experience' and you are still clearly fucking ignorant, guess that is what academia does to you. If we anarchists want to bicker amongst ourselves you should just leave us alone, you just embarrass yourself talking about mexico and the zapatistas you stupid old twat.

Next!

Anarchism will eat itself.

That's right, it's the doctors, teachers and nurses who are screwing us over...

Forget about the multinational CEOs, the Insurance brokers, arms dealers and bankers. These are not the people leeching off of decent working-class folk and making our society less bearable. Oh no no comrades! Lets scapegoat the doctors who keep us healthy and alive and the teachers who make sure our kids learn how to read and write.

FFS!
