Coallition abandons Pollution Measures - Kingsnorth back on

Kingsnorth | 16.08.2010 08:58 | Climate Chaos

"environmental performance standard" dropped from government manifesto on cost grounds

Mainstream press reporting suggests that the coalition government has reneged on promises made in opposition and has dropped the measures that would have made Kingsnorth impossible.

Apparently the costs make the measures impracticable in the short term.

Fool me once shame on you......

Time to move on

After a poor show in Wales , the truth is Climate Camp is dead. Promises promises after Copenhagen, not from the politicians but from the Campers. Regional Gatherings to take own power has left it all headless. What is left is squatters with no cause who talk a lot and no more. No decision makers and lots of meetings, to discuss the next meeting. Real catastrophies occuring to the climate and yet the same old stories from 08,09 we would not have this thirst for coal if people were educated, garages lit up 24 hours, shops lit up 24 hours without the demand the thirst to fossil fuel it would go. How about a real radical change of the education that we claim to have being used rather than the 6 monthly tussle with the cops and no end result but more bad press?
