Croydon EDL Division beaten at Whitechapel Tube

Whitechapel Anarchist Group (repost) | 15.08.2010 15:58 | Anti-racism

Last night (Saturday 14th August) members of the Croydon Division of the EDL (English Defence League) got turned over while flyering at Whitechapel Tube Station by locals. Having had a busy day waving Israeli flags in Central London (Monmouth Street) in support of the cosmetics retailer Ahava, the Croydon Division of the EDL wrongly decided to stop off at Whitechapel Tube Station late Saturday evening when returning from a meeting in Essex.

After flyering for about 30 minutes the English Defence League – whose presence in the East End has been clearly made unwelcome before – were attacked by a group of youths. It is believed that one key South London member of the EDL was put in Royal Hospital due to head injuries, but nothing serious. When will they learn?

Excellent work. These bastards need to be kept off the streets now more than ever with the recession, the powers that be want us all fighting each other and the EDL and their like are the tools. Divide and rule - it never really changes.

"But if anarchists were morons, they'd be in the EDL, surely?"

Yeah, what he/she/they said!

Lets have some balance here, does anybody have a video of the first poll-tax riots in 1379 so we can see if anarchists were responsible for that too. Some mobile phone footage would be OK!

I've looked on you-tube but there's nothing.

Charles (not in the edl, honest)

Well done Whitechapel!

All these bizarre comments by EDL trolls about the poll tax riots and anarchists are getting off the point. The real point is, the buffoons of the EDL (which, by the way, might as well stand for "Eejits for Discount Lager") were chased off the streets by local people. The clowns need to face this reaction whenever they venture out of a pub and onto the streets.

Just checking to make sure I said end the occupation of Afghanistan, bring the troops home.

Which I see from the previous post I have, so ignore this...except the end the occupation of Afghanistan bit, don't ignore that bit, that's important.

The vast majority of ordinary Afghani's are not on any state controlled register of any kind so there is no way for general attitudes to be confirmed or checked. Anybody who claims to know what the people of Afghanistan are thinking by citing opinion polls is talking utter bollocks. Seventy percent of what, where, when?

Paddy Ashdown is a former military man and like most military men is well versed in what it is to have the locals telling you they love and adore you, only to find they've given your position, weapons and troop strength away to the enemy five minutes later.

The Afghans aren't stupid, They know exactly what to say to make you feel that they don't pose a threat, but it only lasts until you turn your back.

When it comes to the real truth of the loyalties of war, military men don't know shit from shoe polish!

I'm glad you want the occupation to end. The politicians are talking rubbish, the generals horse-shit and the media want lining up against a wall. IM is the only place where something close to the truth is being told.

To Charles

Hi

Charles, I'm beginning to think that you are not so bad after all.

When will "anarchists" realise that not everything is about them. You think that everyone who write on IM / mobilises against EDL is an "anarchist" when that's a false assumption.

To the person who wrote the original post you need to remembe that it's EDL who are violent. Don't forget that bit ; )

The EDL is not about a government insitigated class war divide and rule. It's about Zionism. Take a look at the photos. Israeli flags everywhere.

What's your opinion on Palestine Chas?

Why have the Whitechapel anarchists made these claims that local youths did it?

20.08.2010 16:10

how do you know who it was and what do you mean by when will they learn, who? allow making accusations about who it was or wasn't, you are making accuasations that you don't know anything about and can't back up unless you were there and you've got no business chatting on the internet, you are making it sound like tower hamlets is a no go place for white people and that isn't true, you are saying that local youts attack the edl but it is edl that come to tower hamlets and attack people, not the other way around, they are attacking muslim sisters, you make things worse and your chatting rubbish.
