The barbarism of the US, British and other military to animals as well as people
is not a thing of the past

Senator William Roth said Friday that Army crowd-control experiments using hard rubber balls fired at high velocity have left some 500 test animals killed or maimed.
Calling the experiments 'unnecesszarilly cruel and barbaric" Roth said they involved firing of hard rubber projectiles at the heads and bodies of monkeys and pigs.
The Delaware Repuiblican said the experiments have been going on since 1972 at
the Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
