Tesco have recently submitted their final planning applications. This is our one and only formal opportunity to object to Tesco opening on Cheltenham Road.

Tesco are applying for permission for their shop front. We believe any shop front with Tesco branding would be detrimental to our community as it is completely incongruent with the independent and creative culture that Stokes Croft and Montpelier are renowned for. What's more it will be the nail in the coffin of local food shops like Gallifords, Licata and Radford Mill farm shop.

We know the summer is busy busy ... but please please do take 5 minutes to email your objection - this really is our opportunity to stop Tesco once and for all and it would be such a shame to waste all our hard work so far ... the Sainsburys at Ashton Gate just got rejected so we know the Council has the power to say NO!
