Several English Defence League members were sensationally arrested last week by police investigating an apparent pot to bomb a British mosque.
Tim Ablitt, partner Tanya, Alfred and Tracy Saint, and a man known only at this stage as ‘Poole Knight’ were arrested by officers in Dorset on Thursday evening and held for 24hours while police investigated their potential involvement in an bomb plot thought to involve Bournemouth mosque.
The five EDL members and two non EDL females had PCs and phones confiscated, and their homes searched.
All arrestees were released, apparently without charge, on Friday. ‘Poole Knight’ claims he has his car tyres shot at by police.
The group are alleged to have been being watched for some weeks prior to their arrests and are still thought to be under investigation, having had bank accounts frozen and vehicles detained.
