Camp for Climate Action London | 21.07.2010 13:46
RBS TEACH-IN & AFFINITY GROUP TRAINING
Saturday 24th July
Room G2, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Russell Square,
WC1H 0XG
*Come at 12:30 for amazingly tasty cakes, tea and coffee :) Stay for both
workshops or just come for one*
RBS TEACH-IN 1 - 3 pm
Find out more how your money is being used to support the fossil fuel
industry and human rights-abusing projects. Just what has RBS been
investing in with their bailout money? How are the financial and
environmental crises intrinsically linked? And if not capitalism and
banks, what are some alternatives? This will be a participatory workshop
mixing small and whole group discussion, short video clips, and maybe even
a game...
AFFINITY GROUP TRAINING 3:30 - 5:30pm
An affinity group is a group that takes action together, so if you're
coming to the RBS camp but don't have anyone to take action with, this
workshop's for you! We'll talk about what different roles there are in an
affinity group and consider levels of experience, risk and interests so
you can meet people that you're comfortable doing an action with.
Please email london@climatecamp.org.uk to let us know if you're coming to
either or both of the workshops as it will be really helpful to get an
idea of numbers.
Keep an eye on the website - www.climatecamp.org.uk/london - for any
changes and the most up to date information.
