Emil | 20.07.2010 16:00

The eviction of Democracy Village peace camp in Parliament Square, London in the early hours of 20th July 2010.

After losing the court hearing on 16th July, the Democracy Village eviction started just after 1am last night. After some non-violent resistance, it was completed in about four hours, with no arrests. Two metre high fence, with green netting along the entire length, has now been erected around the square.
