Ahoy my hearties. South East London gets a brand new Pirate themed DJ bar, The Black Flag, opening near to Goldsmith College in New Cross on 2nd August 2010.
Aimed at the alternative and student communities based south of the river, The Black Flag will bring together the best music, food, atmosphere and crowd to its revamped layout.
The Bar will be hosting weekly events including a Friday SKA night, appearances from Liar Liar DJs and an 80’s themed Indie/Electro club night. The Bar has a 12am license from Monday to Thursday and a 2am license Friday and Saturday, so expect late night entertainment and surprises seven nights a week.
The interior is designed as a pirate ship, almost a sunken galley frozen in time and outside an extensive rear heated garden provides tables for summer outdoor drinking and a smoking area all year round.
With drinks prices lower than anywhere else locally The Black Flag will also offer an additional student discount and with an extensive drinks menu, Real Ale drinkers, lovers of Cocktails and Wine Connoisseurs will be pleasantly surprised by the choice available.
The Bar features an outstanding English / European menu during the day and a Chinese/Vietnamese menu in the evening, considered the best of its kind in South East London but very affordably priced. Upstairs at The Black Flag, there is a full restaurant and private room which can be hired for any parties, receptions, functions or exclusive dining.
The Black Flag looks to become the prime destination for the Alternative community and music lovers all across South East London and even further afield. Prepare to Abandon Ship!
