Defend Africa House

Waking up every morning in squats, shacks, ruins or tents. The daily threat of beatings, arrest, harassment, and the menace of the detention centre. Inadequate food, personal possessions stolen by the police, drinking water thrown on the sand, shops suddenly closing when they see a black face. This is life for the destitute migrants of Calais.
Africa house, a squat which provided refuge, companionship, and a focus for resistance for the African migrants finding shelter there, is gone. Destroyed by the French authorities, to whom giving shelter to these people is a crime. But in the holes, in the cracks, adversity creates courage, warmth, sparks of resistance, seeds of the future. A new Africa House has risen from the ashes,
so join us and help defend Africa House!
Featuring the lead singer of reggae band Kifaru, Beatloafe, Luke Wylde, and live Congolese music
