CCTV Free Zone - Day 3

The Anti-CCTV campaign in Camberwell continues with more japes.

The activists emerged again after a good night's sleep and set off into Valmar Road. At first activities were quiet but after a short time they were joined by several local residents who brought chocolate digestives, which the activists liked very much, (thank you!).

Soon asking the camera to 'mind its own beeswax' became difficult as the camera began to dance making the respectful request regarding beeswax become rather irksome. A very naughty activist got some photographs of the inside of the CCTV smart car whilst another informed people nearby when they were being watched by the camera with the use of a megaphone.

Later an officer arrived and requested we remained on the pavement, despite a lack of cars passing by. The officer also told one activist they were 'an adult' and he 'couldn't tell them what to do' to which the activist agreed and stepped back into the road. The officer also informed the occupants of the CCTV car that they were parked on double yellow lines.

The CCTV car then left a full four and a half hours before home time.

Golly gosh good work friendly neighbour anarchists!
