Free your minds suckaz - become an Atheist and throw off the shackles of religion.

As Timothy Leary was keen on saying:

"Think for yourself, question authority"!

All religions are created by Human Beings, therfore by default because Human Beings are ALL flawed, therefore so are ALL religions, so no religion can ever hold reliable answers to the bigger questions.

Religion is ultimately there to reassure those whom are scared to accept death on its own terms by creating a narrative where none exists, but has been co-opted by the small minded Human ruling classes for their own devious ends - i.e. social and political control.

Atheism is not a belief, it is a pragmatic NON belief, allowing one to see the the Universe as it is, rather than how a religious narrative tells you what it thinks the Universe is, based on out of date information about our distant ancestors' view of things.

Atheism also allows you to accept more readily that other species see things very differently to us, and that the Universe actually exists in MANY forms, not just as we Human Beings perceive it - the Human sensory perception filter is just one way of viewing the Universe.

Ultimately, the Universe is far more vast and amazing than the limited vision that any one religion can ever encompass.

We are just one tiny aspect of the Universe, but no less important than any other part - if only religion actually taught that message, even though they all claim to.

None of them actually do though, as they all want to you exclusively buy their brand for life, so have a vested interest in not accepting the Universe on its own terms, including the bitter truth that the Universe would indifferently carry on without the Human species being in it.

why all this hostility toward religion? admit Jesus the saviour into your life and you will feel and know the difference. the atheist communists could not produce a better society, because a better society without god is not possible. our current atheist western consumerist societies also cannot do without god, it is completely empty. If revolutionaries stopped their knee jerk atheism and admitted their creator, then perhaps they could really change the world.

Is this really suitable for Indymedia? Do we need loads of people posting their political poetry here?

You don't need god to change the world, you just need to be aware of your own potential as a Human Being.

In fact, religions and governments between them do a very good job of telling people what they CAN'T do, which is why you should never wholeheartedly believe in either institution, as neither of them have our best interests in mind, merely their own self perpetuation.
