The much hated ID card scheme that had been planned by the Labour government against the advice of many and the wishes of most has finally had it's official curtain call

As people begin the job of tunneling into bunkers to protect themselves from the effects of the upcoming ConDemNation coalition government, and the inevitable ill effects on society, they can at least take heart from the dropping of this scheme which would have meant all those resident in the UK being forcibly placed on the national DNA database, and being required to produce the cards to any government official who asked to see it.
