Gaza flotilla survivors to speak in Sheffield

Tuesday 15th June. Public meeting on the Freedom Flotilla. 7.30 p.m. Quaker Meeting House, James St. Sheffield S1 2EW.

Two survivors of the Flotilla attack will present eye witness accounts of events aboard the Mavi and Challenger boats. We will also discuss the tasks for the solidarity movement in the wake of the Flotilla attacks and the (momentary) world wide attention focussed on the Siege of Gaza. Please make sure you come to this crucial meeting: we need your support and active solidarity

*Other events*:

*This Saturday, 12th June: Boycott protest*. Meet at the Infirmary Rd tram stop to join our Boycott Israeli goods protest. If you have a BIG t shirt please wear it. (the protest will last for about an hour).

*Sunday 13th June: Regional Free Gaza rally*. Assemble 2p.m. at all Saints Square, Oxford Rd (near Manchester met. Uni) M15 6BH. We need people from Sheffield to carry the Sheffield PSC banner.


*Deacon Dave is holding a felafel and film evening*, showing 'Hebron Home Eviction' to raise funds for his visit to Hebron, to volunteer as a peacemaker and undertake more filming work there of the conditions under which the Palestinian residents of Hebron live. Saturday 26th June, from 6.30 p.m. Pitsmoor Methodist Church, 131 Burngreave Rd.

*Date for your diary*

Visit to Sheffield on Monday July 12th by young people from the Lajee Centre, Aida Camp, Occupied Palestine. They will be giving a public dabka performance at Langley Park College. Please keep the date free for what will be a night to remember!
