well that'll make trans artists feel welcome

amazed to see julie bindel on the panel that will be selecting what happens at the festival. it's meant to be an lgbt event, yeah?
so what message is being sent out by the inclusion of somebody who's known to have such transphobic (and arguably queer-phobic) views?
(there have been actual protests about julie, on more than one occassion, carried out by trans people and their allies)

is she even an artist of some kind? could you not find anyone with more relevant experience? i see most of the rest of the panel are performers, film-makers etc....
and yes i would love a response from whoever posted this in the first place/ anyone else who's involved in the organisation....

this news has put me right off going to this year's event at all

amazed

Yawn, not more windging.

Who cares if Julie is on the panel this year, whether here views on transsexualism are misguided or not she does have the right to free speech in respect of expressing her bias views and provocative opinion; just be thankful that Julie doesn't also have the right to be listened too on top of all that cause it would be so tediously boring, yawn, why give the ignorant cow an audience?

Making a mountain out of a mole hill will not help and boycotting this festival would be as good as cutting off your nose to spite your face. Suggest you turn up respectfully and make an effort to enjoy the festival, and ignore her childish taunts as much as humanly possible. Be an adult and rise above her slurs cause Julie is just looking for publicity and attention, don't go out your way this year to prove her right.
