The Rachel Corrie which was the Irish flagged boat carrying Malaysian and Irish activists including Mariead Mcguire, Nobel Peace Prize winner, is currently about 35 miles off the coast of Gaza and is being boarded by the Israeli Navy. The warships approached whilst Mariead Mcguire was giving an interview to "The Only Democracy" (audio at http://theonlydemocracy.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Mariead-Mcguire.mp3)
Earlier today, Irish politicians agreed with Israel that the boat should dock at Ashdod. Derek Graham also aboard the boat told the Independent that: "we cannot turn around because it would insult the people that died last Monday"
