Report from the walls of Castlerae prison, Roscommon, Ireland

150 people attended a concert outside Castlerea prison today in solidarity with prisoners Pat O' Donnell and Niall Harnett.

Rossport fisherman Pat O' Donnell has been imprisoned for five months for protesting to stop the Corrib Gas Project. He has refused thousands of Euros's from Shell to give up his annual fishing rights in Broadhaven Bay where his family has fished for years. Campaigner Niall Harnett has also been imprisoned for six months due to his involvement in the Shell to Sea campaign.

The Merthyr to Mayo bike ride joined local residents and Shell to Sea supporters in listening to musicians from all over Ireland, chalking messages on the prison walls and finishing with a noise demo.

The bike ride continues it's cycle to Rossport tomorrow, arriving on Friday for the annual gathering beginning on Saturday. See you there!
