CNI Expo

Netcu Watch | 27.05.2010 14:52 | Animal Liberation | Anti-militarism | Climate Chaos

The security industry, police and government are having a nice conference about "threats" (which appears to include naughty activists) at the Excel centre in London 2nd-3rd June 2010. www.cniexpo.com for more information the conference is titled "security and resilience for the public and private sector".

And how do we know this? Well a nice chap from CNI expo just rang Netcu Watch instead of Netcu asking about Netcu's stand at the exhibition! Oooops!!!! Regrettably your dimwitted correspondent was not canny enough to convince him that Steve Pearl (and all his mates) was just out of the office and I would take any messages, Anyway it seems like the animal rights movement, anti war protestors, climate change activists, everyone is cordially invited.

Rogues gallery of participants too!

And so he made his excuses and put the phone down after he realised that I might not be a police officer after all. Anyway to reiterate NETCU (National Extremist Coordination Unit) along with their chums in FIT, NDET and NPIOU are all about thwarting what they see as "extremism" which means any action which might be "disruptive". As we all know much of our activism comes under their "extremist" label. Why are they there? Well to advise companies how best to deal with protests and pesky protestors, how to crush dissent, how to get injunctions, how to hound individual activists, how to gather intelligence on activists, how to get activists arrested...... The seminars might be interesting and former Home Secretary John Reid is involved.
