The democracy village has been given notice to pack up and leave Parliament Square by Wednesday morning by the police today. After well over a week the village was told it must leave the square as there is no permission for the democracy village to be there.
People at the village have agreed to pack up and leave by Wednesday morning. No other site has been chosen and it has been decided that the point of the village protest have now been made and everyone will leave on Wednesday. There are still two full days to go though, so if you want to come and see it get down there soon to take part in what is going on.

Have we got democracy now?
Have the troops come home? (which was an early declared aim).
Some reports have alluded to drinking alcohol in the Square. Sounds like you've all had a great picnic, a good time, and now you're off cos someone's told you to.
Is this what protest has come to in 2010?
Sorry to be so negative, but really I can't let "The point of the protest has been made" pass without some questioning.
But I suppose if you haven't got "permission" to hold a peaceful protest then you'd better go home you naughty children.
