The official news paper "Rizospastis" of the Communist party of Greece ( KKE) has accused paramilitary groups and undercover agents that had infiltrated the demonstration and with premeditated murderous attacks in 2-3 distinctive incidents ( a Super market with customers inside - "Ianos" bookshop where pured gasoline to an employee and finally the tragic Marfin bank employees ) . The purpose of these attacks as per the official statement in the Parliament of the Communist party was to demoralize the growing workers and youth movement against the IMF measures. whatever

you say, whatever you have to say to excuse the fact that you did this, I had a bet with a friend as to how long it would take for someone to come up with "the truth" that the mysterious "state" did this and not a the normal bunch of murderous thugs who piggyback demos to cause violence, who want nothing but hate and violence, can hardly miss them just read through some of the posts here.

If the greek communist partie, anacists(sic) et al, did this, then as so many wanted to see in the past, string them up on wire nooses from the lamp posts, it is what I have seen advocated for politicians and bankers......so sauce for the goose.

Anarchism kills

Anarchism kills?

And Capitalism doesn't?

How does a molotov thrown by an unknown individual of unknown political leaning in a capitalist society mean that anarchism kills?

what is this bollocks?

The response here are just pathetic; no it has not been proven that the molotov was thrown by provocateurs, but it is UNARGUABLY TRUE that provocateurs do act with the police in Greece. These photo's show they were out that day as well. There is a strong body of evidence to suggest that the attack was the work of the far right. It doesn't matter much if it was or not really, the point is that it might well have been is good enough.

On to the real idiocy "anarchism kills" - well of course it does. It is not an inherently murderous idea however, unlike conservatism or liberalism. Whilst anarchism thinks working people should defend themselves, sometimes with deadly force, against the attacks of the ruling class, every statist ideology that puts the nation state above humanity in general believes we should go to war with other countries to enrich our native ruling class (or stimulate the economy, as it is now put). Nation states have standing armies trained in deadly force and armed with deadly, and they use them. All the time.

As it happens the actions of the Greek anarchists, even the extremely insurrectionary ones, has been utterly non-deadly so far if we accept that they had nothing to do with Marfin bank or the bomb that went of a few weeks back in in a rubbish heap in Athens. If we do not accept this, and both of those were the work of anarchists, clearly neither of them were meant to be deadly: the modus operandi of the armed groups is to call ahead when doing a bombing, and the modus operandi the street rioters is to only burn empty buildings or cops wearing fireproof clothes. The modus operandi of a nation states' army is to use deadly force. Full stop

I'm not big into insurrectionary property destruction but I can still see that Marfin bank and other events do not make insurrectionary anarchists 'killers' by definition. I can also see that the political mainstream is far more deadly than anarchism, which explicitly believes that all people are equal and have the right to life. Because capitalism won't let equality happen, deadly force is necessary in overthrowing capitalism. This is not a contradiction. It isn't.

everythings kills in the right situation
