Just two days now until Mayday...
And if all the election hype is getting just too much for you, come and
join us on a demonstration and BBQ this Saturday to celebrate life beyond
the ballot box.
From 12pm, assemble at All Saints Park behind the 'You cannot Represent
Us' banner, to form a bloc on teh Trade Union demo. Then march to Albert
Square and then continue to Birley Fields in Hulme for food, music and a
speakers corner.
At 3o'clock we'll be kicking off with a short set by Attilla the
Stockbroker and David Rovics. And they will be follwed by reggae and folk
bands, and more Manchester based political singers, poets and soundsystem
tunes all afternoon.
In between bands there will be a speakers corner for everyone to talk
about why politicians won't represent us. Please come ready to share your
thoughts!
There will be info stalls and food by donation, all sheltered with
marquees so come whether rain or shine! And feel free to bring your own
bbq, picnic, blanket etc.
See you there! Manchester No Borders and friends.
