Anti election subvert in Bristol

The cross in the box should provide a clue...

You know it, I know it...
You know it, I know it...

The cross in the box should provide a clue. We put a lot of crosses in boxes throughout our lives and it usually stands for "No". In the case of voting at elections it's supposed to mean yes, but more accurately, as usual, means "No":
No real choice between corrupt, self serving politicans who all stand for the same game.
No real say in how your life is run.
No change whatsoever to the capitalist system based on ever increasing inequality, control and domination at every turn.

Anyone still clinging to the carefully manufactured idea that elections really do matter should take just the briefest of looks at the history of governments everywhere. Can you spot the pattern? Yes, it's pre-election promises unfulfilled, a total failure to listen to the needs of ordinary people and not rocking the boat too much so as not to upset the rich who hold the puppet strings of "our leaders".

If you're prepared to accept more attacks on us all in the form of more taxes, job losses, bank bail outs and public service cuts, increasing state surveillance and repression of dissent, endless war and ecological devastation to name a few, then vote. Because these are some of the things that government stand for. In a more honest world the cross in the box would be a skull and crossbones to show that voting really is the death of freedom and the end of our collective strength. By voting you give your power away to those who should clearly not have it and give support to the whole farce that keeps them in their distant corridors of power. Vote... for more of the same.

If however you're not ready to take any more of this and realise that we can do so much more when we think outside their box, acting collectively, voting with our feet, taking direct action and refusing to go along with it all... well then we'll see you on the streets! Let's turn voter apathy into ex voter anarchy...
