Tuesday 27th April
Cancel the Cruel Circus : Leicester
Following their much protested Nottingham run, the `Great` British Circus are performing in Leicester, at Leicester Road, Glen Parva on the A426.
Animals in circuses lead a pathetic, miserable existence, performing unnatural, demeaning tricks in the ring and tied up or caged between performances. Their home is nothing more than a mobile prison. This circus have many animals including lions, zebras, camels, llamas, horses, ponies, goats and reindeer, and now 3 elephants and a white tiger.
Join the opening night demo at 6.15pm on Tuesday 27th April.
If you are planning protests during the rest of the run, take care, and let us know at arc@veggies.org.uk - we'll spread the word.

Brinsley Animal Rescue Work Day
Brinsley Animal Rescue is a not for profit organisation dedicated to caring for animals. Our primary mission is to relieve the suffering of animals and birds. Many of the animals that come to us are simply ’surplus to requirements’ from the meat, dairy and egg industry. Because such animals are deemed unprofitable then it is our aim to take them on and find them loving homes in which they can enjoy the retirement they deserve.
Nottm AR has regular work days here - fence building, staining, aviary building, mucking out, rabbit run building and more.
