On Saturday at an organised meeting of anti-fascists in Aberdeen it was decided to found the Aberdeen Anti-Fascist Alliance.

On Saturday at an organised meeting of anti-fascists in Aberdeen it was decided to found the Aberdeen Anti-Fascist Alliance which would work with he Glasgow and Edinburgh Alliances and the Scotland wide one.

We will primarily be focused on anti-BNP campaigning during the election and have a network in place just in case the SDL think they can come up here.

If anyone wants to get involved we have a site:

Well, England already has a network of militant anti-fascist groups, its called Antifa England aye? But good luck to Aberdeens anti-fascists, every city in the UK needs groups like these.

What makes you think that you are above the law and can terrorise and intimidate people whose political views you don't agree with? What give you people the right to riot on our streets like you did in Welling in October 1993 when you tried to attack and destroy the BNP headquarters? What gives you the right to attack our police and terrorise local communities like paramiliary groups do in Northern Ireland. UAF and AFA are nothing more than terrorist thugs! There are also proven links between Anti-Facist Action and Republican paramilitaries in Northern Ireland such as the Provisional IRA and the INLA.

Clearly you've not met Antifa England...

They get stuck into organised fascists. Not bell-end hoolies who piss up against Churches giving it the biggun. Any twat can do that.

As you were.

Context is different up here.

20.04.2010 20:17

The context up in Scotland is different there isn't much of an antifa to speak of, beyond self identified individuals who turn up to some actions.

This is a reponse to the BNP giving it a push in Aberdeen, it is the place they are campaigning most outside of England. There is an organised UAF who have made themselves the subject of a lot of anger because of their leaders actions/instructions/behaviour at the only two SDL mobilisations in Scotland.

Hence the comment above from another poster. ( I reposted the comment from the same article on IndyScotland [which hardly not many people go on], for discussions sake.)
