On 10 April 2010, at the London Action Resource Centre (LARC), a group of people came together to participate in a three part discussion aiming to help bridge the divide between street level activism and critical theory.

This diverse panel included the likes of Matthew Travers, Debra Shaw, Amadeo Policante, Dimitris Papadopoulos, Angus McKenzie, Nick Srnieck, Alex Williams, Jeremy Gilbert, Martin McIver, Sarah Clifton, Dan Leighton and Stephen Shukaitis. There were also lively and interesting interjections from the audience/listeners throughout.

The panelists had a go at pondering the effectiveness of various activist strategies, as well as issues of media and political representation whilst all the time considering what role critical theory can play in joining up the dots. After the panel wrapped up its discussion, DJ Steene stepped up to spin a bit of reggae / jungle sunshine, providing an excellent backdrop to unwind and to stimulate ongoing discussions and animated conversations well into the late evening.

This event was recorded and streamed live on the internet by Dissident Island Radio as well as archived for prosterity. So have a listen!
